Brake Grinding Noise problems of the 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan

The contact owns a 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan. On several occasions, while driving various speeds, the contact was unable to depress the brake pedal. The contact stated that the brake pedal was very firm. Initially, the failure only occurred while the vehicle was in the reverse gear. Recently, the failure occurred with the vehicle in drive. On several occasions, the check engine warning indicator illuminated prior to the failure. The contact turned the vehicle off and on, which seemed to remedy the failure. Additionally, the contact stated that there was an abnormal grinding noise coming from the rear brakes. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent. The vehicle was taken to holden Dodge Chrysler Jeep ram (640 s governors Ave, dover, DE 19904, (302) 734-5708) to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the mechanic was unable to retrieve a fault code or duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 14,000.
