general problems of the 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan - part 2

Before 50k miles the transmission went out and a cylinder blew at the same time. There was no warning this would happen and when it happened we were in traffic and caused the vehicle to jump almost hitting another car. This was repaired by Dodge. At the time of pick up the technician in the shop told us that this is a common issue with these vans and he sees this all the time. Also the breaks have not worked properly since purchase. An online form shows many owners have this same issue and have determined that the break system is under rated for the size of vehicle.

The contact owns a 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan. The contact stated while driving approximately 30 mph, as the contact depressed the brakes to stop for a traffic signal, the vehicle will slide to the left. The contact described the movement to the left, as if she was turning the steering wheel, but she said she was not. Additionally, when she starts the vehicle forward from a standing stop the rear tires will spin as if she had applied the brakes and then the vehicle will jolt forward. The contact stated that when the engine made the abnormal noises, the vehicle would vibrate and "thump". The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact had taken the vehicle to several independent mechanics who could not diagnose the vehicle. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 45,000.

P0302 causing a cylinder 2 misfire. Seems like a very common problem for this van. Still under warranty. Happens when idling in drive in a drive through or stopped at a red light. Code keeps coming back. This needs to be a recal and hold Chrysler accountable my van is only 2 years old. With 40k on it.

Tl- the contact owns a 2019 Chrysler Grand Caravan. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle the message "engine four cylinder misfire" would display and the vehicle would not properly accelerate. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who replaced the spark plugs, coil pack and the transmission fluid was replaced. Metal debris was also discovered in the engine oil pan. The failures continued to occur and the double intake cam, rocker arm and 2 lifters on the left bank of the engine were also replaced. The manufacturer and local dealer firkens chysler Jeep located at 2700 1st st, bradenton, FL 34208 were notified of the failure but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 76,000. Jft.

2019 Dodge Grand Caravan. 3. 6 pentastar engine. 60k miles. For over a year it has rough idle and engine vibration at hwy speed. Misfire on cylinder #2 does not go away. Always returns. Have replaced coils, plugs twice and injectors. #2 cylinder misfire still throws engine light. Went to and called Dodge dealer several times about problem. They claim there are no known issues, problems or recalls. They keep trying to tell me it's bad fuel and I should use higher grade fuel. I've done that as well and the misfire on #2 cylinder is always there. The vibration gets so bad sometimes the entire vehicle shakes like your sitting in a massage chair. My wife refuses to drive it anymore and I'm really frustrated that Dodge refuses to acknowledge there is a defect on this engine that is causing this and should be covered by them. It's only a year old and should not be having this problem.
