Three problems related to side/window air bag have been reported for the 1996 Dodge Intrepid. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Consumer states her son was driving when an auto turned in front of him, which caused damage to left front fender, middle of hood, and passenger side front. Neither side air bag deployed. No injuries was sustained. Nlm.
Airbag on passenger's side is falling out of dashboard.
Consumer concerned about effectiveness of passenger side air bag (deploying prematurely or improperly) because the air bag cover is peeled up on dashboard consumer is uncertain if cover will contain air bag during normal vehicle operation or during a light collision. Yh.
