One problem related to brake disc pads has been reported for the 1997 Dodge Intrepid. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Pads crumbled, they separated from metal backing. Driving on freeway and when pressing on brakes it felt like they were crumbling. Second time, it was metal on metal braking. Took vehicle in to dealer, and dealer fixed problem. Second time same problem happened while driving out of garage. Contacted dealer, and the dealer won't do anything second time around.
