One problem related to rear suspension shock absorber has been reported for the 1997 Dodge Intrepid. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
: the contact stated the rear end of the vehicle bounced up and down after driving over a bump. The vehicle was taken to an independent repair shop, where the rear struts were replaced. The vehicle then began to make a clunking noise in the rear end. The repair shop was alerted, but did not inspect the vehicle.
