Nine problems related to power window have been reported for the 1999 Dodge Intrepid. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
I own a 1999 Dodge Intrepid and need two windows fixed regulators in the door. The garage I brought my car to said he has replaced a lot of these regulators in the 1999 Dodge Intrepid. I feel that if it needs to be fixed for inspection then there must be some safety reason. Every time I am on the turnpike I have to open my door to hand out the money. I feel that there should be a recall on this problem.
Heard a grinding noise when I used the driver side power window, eventually the window was tilted as it was going up and down. Seems to be off the track. Window if not guided by hand does not stay within seals along side and at top. Also the passenger window on driver side is no longer operating.
Driver's side window motor failed and as a result the window would not roll down.
3 of 4 power window units have failed making the windows inoperable. Front passenger window motor and regulator were replaced under warranty. At this time the driver and rear passenger windows are inoperative. The vehicle currently has 43. 3k miles. Besides being inconvenient, not being able to open a window could pose a safety issue in an emergency.
Unable to pull driver side power window. It will not go back, and passenger's side window will not go down.
3 window motors replaced; dealer stated they had replaced several motors; 2 other customers in same day for same problem. Dealer quickly and professionally took care of problem. Excellent car otherwise.
3 of the 4 power windows have required service.
The power windows will come down or up. Mechanic states this could be due to a rubber seal being bad.
Vehicle's electric rear window is inoperative.
