The car started making a kind of clacking noise, and after a few minutes it felt like it dropped into a low gear and started knocking extremely loud. Fortunately I was only a few blocks from home and as soon as I got to my driveway the car just died, everything shut down. The motor was pulled and the bearings that hold the pistons and rods together were totally gone. The mechanic says that they were no were to be found, he doesn't know what happened to them. The car is a 2000 Intrepid with 95,000 miles. Car has cost more money than it's worth.
