The contact owns a 2000 Dodge Intrepid. The vehicle has dominator all season tires, size p225/75r15. While driving 65 mph, the contact heard a smacking noise coming from the rear of the vehicle. He pulled over and noticed that the rear driver's side tire had been separating and peeling off, leaving pieces of rubber in the middle of the road. He took the vehicle to a nearby gas station and had the tire replaced. The contact believes that the tire should not have separated so quickly and that a recall should be issued. The VIN and dot number were unknown. The current and failure mileages were 89,000.

Last spring I had to replace the cooper tires on the front of my car because they were causing my car to vibrate even though the tread and tire pressure were perfect. I still had cooper tires on the rear of my car and while driving down the interstate the tread of my rear right tire exploded causing me to almost lose control of my car. It tore off my rear bumper and did damage underneath the car. Currently I do have quotes to repair the damage, but am waiting to find out if cooper tire will pay for the repairs.

While driving and without warning the vehicle's tire would not grip on the wet road. The incident happened when the road was wet and while the consumer was going around a curve. The vehicle also developed a vibration in the steering wheel. The dealer was unable to fix the vehicle and suggested the vehicle was like this when the it was purchased. (tire model/radial gt).

A few days before the failure, we noticed a vibration in the front of the car. We thought it was a balance problem and made arrangements to have it re-balanced. Two days before that appointment, we had a catastrophic blow-out at highway speed. (65 mph) the left front tire separated completly where the tread joins the side wall. The car was controlled to a stop. When we contacted good year, they said there were no problems with a blow out of this type and we would be compensated with a pro-rated discount for one new tire, as there was only a 38% usage on the separated tire. Maybe good year would have felt differently if we were killed in a crash, rather than just lucky. Dt.
Tire had only 22,000 on it. The tire press was checked 5 days earlier. The tread separated from the side wall. (dot number: bexbeuu379 tiresize: 225/60 r16).

The fact that I had 2 flat tires a month apart concerned me, since firestone has been under investigation. The firestone dealer was unable to provide an explanation for my flats, and there were no obstructions or road hazards to cause these problems. Both instances were identical, even though they were a month apart: it was the sound of the flat that alerted me to the problem, I had no trouble controlling the car or pulling to the side of the road. At this point, I just fear when and where the next flat will occur!( dot number: ejytchk179 tire size: ft70c ).
Tire failed prematurely. (p225 tr16 goodyear eagle GA) yh.
