1 Adaptive Equipment problem

Failure Date: 03/13/2015

I received a recall notice for my vehicle back in 2013 or 2014 regarding the wireless ignition node (win) module. Chrysler recall number l25 NHTSA recall number 11v-139. Recall date March 1, 2011. I have had my vehicle completely shut off on several different occasions which has almost gotten me in a wreck. I have been fortunate to be able to get out of the way of traffic but the last two times this has happened I was barely able to avoid an accident. One time I was driving on a toll road in austin, texas and going over a bridge and had to pull as close to the center cement wall as possible and restart my vehicle and hurry to get out of traffic before I was hit. This last time that it happened I was driving on my way to work on again a busy 4 lane road and was able to pull into an entrance of an apartment complex and restart my vehicle. Both times it has been a close call. My local Dodge dealership keeps telling me that there is currently no replacement part available. This is becoming very frustrating and also very scary at the same time. Can you please advise me as to when this replacement part might be available. Like it said I have.

2 Adaptive Equipment problem

Failure Date: 11/21/2013

Heater went out in the winter. Went to dealer and told me it was the heater core. Due to this I could not get the heater core replaced at the time because the part is on back order by 125. So this seems to be a problem with more than 1 vehicle so need to check into this more but I believe that it should be a recall part.

3 Adaptive Equipment problem

Failure Date: 07/19/2013

I am not reporting an accident . . . Yet. I was driving on residential street about 35 mph when the "airbag warning light" came on. Thereafter it came on each time I started my car and started to drive. Contacted nearest dealer and was told that my vehicle was not apart of the recall ( 09v118000), although the recall named 2009 Dodge Journeys. They wanted me to pay to have it checked! I then called Chrysler corp and spoke with a rep who also stated that my vehicle was not apart of the recall. It appears to me that it should have been since I never had this type of issue before with any of the approx. 7 vehicles I have purchased over the last 50 years. I drive to California at least 3 times each year and various locations within the state of arizona. I want Chrysler to contact the bill-luke dealership and have them check my electrical system and fix the problem, at Chrysler's expense. I am sure I am not the only owner who has this complaint.

4 Adaptive Equipment problem

Failure Date: 09/18/2010

Purchased 2009 Dodge Journey in September. The first weekend after purchasing the vehicle I loaded my canoe onto the roofrack. About 45 minutes into the trip the roof rack ripped out of the roof of the vehicle. Lost the canoe luckily there was little traffic and nobody was hurt. After further inspection realized Dodge used self-tapping screws instead of bolts on the roof rack. This is a very dangerous condition. I contacted my dealership and they told me self-tapping screws is standard on all Dodge roof racks and the roof racks were not designed to carry anything besides luggage boxes. I filed a complaint with Dodge about this and they came back with the same answer over a month later. Today I received an estimate for the damage totaling just over $2700. However that is nothing compared to what could have happened if it would have broke 20 minutes earlier while I was driving faster on the interstate with heavy traffic.
