1 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 01/01/2021

The rear end is going out fuel system is causing a misfire number six and the airbag light is on we have had more problems with it with the power steering starting it when it's cold and it rupturing the hose plus the wiring and the door front door there's wires broke supposedly fixed in 2011 but are broke again every recall if you type in 09 Dodge Journey is what's going wrong with mine right now but there's supposedly no recall on it.

2 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 01/16/2020

While driving the engine caught fire. Dealer says it is not covered under recall. Even though I see other Dodge Journey recalls of same fire being recalled.

3 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 07/19/2017

Car has had to have brakes multiple times for excess wear and problems with caliper, engine runs rough and hesitates to accelerate at speeds over 45 miles per hr, checkengine comes on and flashes and the goes solid, codes show up as po202 with definition of cylinder 2 injector electrical circuit unit had a fault lodged or was disconnected for predetermined time. This car is costing me an arm and leg.

4 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 10/03/2014

Vehicle will stall without warning for no apparent reason at any speed. On oct 3, 2014 I was taking my child to school when the car stalled in an intersection. After the light turned green I proceeded to the intersection and stalled upon entering the intersection. I was able to put the car in neutral and restart within ~10 seconds. This issue repeated itself at least twice while en route from my home to a nearby service shop (foltz auto) which determined there was no issue the battery or ignition. On 10/5/14 I took the vehicle to heritage Chrysler (21234) and had the car serviced for two reasons: the main reason was the above issue and a secondary issue was the main odometer (not the trip odometer) at some point had reset itself leaving a display of an incorrect mileage much lower than the actual mileage. The dealer could not recreate the stalling issue or offer any solution, but noted that another electrical issue was causing the odometer to display an incorrect mileage; the fix was to replace the instrument cluster assembly. After having the instrument cluster replaced, the issue did not reoccur until 12/26/2014, when the car stalled three times without warning at ~40 mph, leaving the car completely "dead" each time, and once causing the car to veer quickly towards another car as I was in the process of turning the wheel around a slight curve when the car locked up. The car restarted in neutral and continued on in each incident until I was able to safely reach my home - I did not further drive the car. My concern is that the manufacturer knows, or show know, of multiple issues where this model and model year vehicle has randomly stalled without warning and can not offer a solution to the problem. Consumers are left to guess which repairs to undertake at significant expense, while driving a car that could continue to have the same issues.

5 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 07/07/2014

The check engine light came on and the code said it was the intake manifold runner control.

6 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 05/14/2013

My 2009 Dodge Journey vehicle is possessed as it sometimes leaves us stranded after running out on a short errand, so after stopping and parking the vehicle for short period of time then it will not start. We've tried to electrically jump the battery but this has no effect. It seems if you give it some time, perhaps to cool off like 30 minutes the car will start again. We¿ve replaced the battery three (3) times in the past 18 months but the problem continues. The electrical power windows will not open but then they do. The fobix key¿s keyless entry does not work sometimes, the parking lights are found on when everything is off. The wireless ignition node and it¿s matching fobix keys have been replaced three time to no avail.

7 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 07/18/2012

My teenage driver was on the highway and had complete loss of power, she managed to pull to side of highway. The vehicle started right up and we merged back on the highway only to have a complete loss of power again. We turned the car off and waited 10 minutes. The car started and we made it home. Two days later while on a rural road the vehicle shut off again. All wires and connections checked out tight. Waiting to have it towed as don't want to risk an accident.
