Defrost doesn’t work due to no heat on passenger side. Heater core replaced and has to be flushed out every year. Research on the internet says this is a common issue but no recall.

2 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 01/12/2022

You can read online anywhere that the ecu is a major problem. My car battery dies everytime I shut it off. Ive replace the battery 8 times, the alternator 4 times. Had countless amout of diagnostic tests done on it. Still nothing. Come to find out its the ecu which I cant afford to replace as its over $800 to repair. Look online and you'll see almost everyone with a Journey has this problem. When it causes my car to shut off while driving, it becomes a serious safety issue as I always have 4 small children with me. 3 three year olds and a 6 year old. Nobody wants a Dodge because of the problems associated with it. Please fix this. Please.

Pressure sensors saying there's an issue with your tire pressure and you have binding in your drive line.

4 Equipment problem

The vehicle suddenly shuts off at highway speeds and has significant trouble restarting. The vehicle has been inspected over 10 times by an asc certified mechanic for this issue and there hasn't been a check engine code present that would cause this issue.

5 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 10/13/2019

My cars battery light keeps coming on and then it starts going over the 4000 rpm point and not going more than 20mph and then dies. . . I've replaced alternator and battery both 4 times in 4 months and it keeps happening.

6 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 01/22/2019

The car feels likes it's pulling and sometimes it won't accelerate.

7 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 01/01/2016

I have had an ongoing issue, over the past almost three years with not having heat on the passenger and rear of my vehicle. The system has been flushed multiple times, thermostat replaced, actuator doors checked and replaced, and my heater core replaced twice already. The interventions fix the problem for a short period and they it is back to only cool air. The coolant pressure is fine and the car does not overheat. There is no change when driving or in park.

8 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 05/05/2015

I bought my Journey in 08/2014 with 37,000. The dealership replaced the front rotors and brakes. Less than 30,000 miles later (today) I was told that I need to replace my brakes and rotors because they are metal against metal and grinding when I stop.

9 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 01/31/2015

My car issue: I can't drive past 40 mph. When speed increases, the rpm and car temperature increases. I took my car in for an oil change and asked the service tech to test drive my car because it's stalling while driving from a day ago. He stated that there maybe an internal issue covered by powertrain warranty. The next available appointment to look at my car was after February 17, 2015. I dropped my car off for a diagnostic test to learn that the tipm melted and that he has never seen that happen before. After learning the cost of the repair, we did research on the part to learn that it should be under recall but Chrysler has been fighting consumers on fixing the problem. My boyfriend look in the fuse box to learn that the tipm did not melt but a $3. 50 relay part did melt. So he drove to three different locations looking for this part. Two of the three locations called the dealership that I went to for an oil change and diagnostic test were very rude and hung up on 3 phone calls (2 hang up calls for o'reilly's and 1 hang up call for a neighboring dealership).

10 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 01/01/2012

Not to long after I bought my Journey 2011, I can hear a loud whine when I turn my car on. It keeps whining until I'm driving away. Is it doing damage? since I bought my Journey, I have been very pleased with it and would, even with the problems of the whining and the huge power steering fluid lose, that for some reason my specific car is not included in the recall, remain a huge fan.
