Tl the contact owns a 2013 Dodge Journey. While making a turn, the power steering malfunctioned. The contact felt that the power steering was seizing and there were no signs of any leaks. In addition, the fluid level was full. The manufacturer was contacted and provided a case number. The manufacturer also stated that there were no recalls and advised the contact to call NHTSA to file a complaint. The failure mileage was 93,000.

2 Power Steering Fluid problem

Failure Date: 02/01/2019

Tl- the contact owns a 2013 Dodge Journey. The contact stated that while driving approximately 40 mph the power steering suddenly malfunctioned and the steering wheel became very difficult to turn in either direction. Upon inspection it was discovered that the power steering return hose was damaged causing the power steering fluid to leak from the vehicle. The cause of the failure was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The local dealer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 99,000. Jft.
