The truck has always shifted hard since I purchased it January 2016 but I figured it would just work its way out since it was brand new. Friday July 21st 2017 I was driving and started hearing a very loud grinding type of noise coming from the engine and I was just trying to make it home ASAP. All of a sudden while I was driving (25 mph) I was slowing down and when I took my foot off the brake and went to accelerate again there was nothing there like no power at all just rpms going higher. I pulled over put the truck in park and back into drive and it wouldn't move anywhere at all. I turned the truck off and quickly put it in drive so I had some momentum and after 1st gear it did the same exact thing. I was 10 miles away from my house and had to repeat this process for over an hour just to make it to my driveway. The next morning I repeated the process in order to get it to the closest Dodge dealership which I did safely. Now my truck has 53,500 miles on it and the dealership stated the transmission is blown. Great real great a brand new car and a blown transmission? it's ridiculous especially when Dodge will not do loaner vehicles leaving me now paying hundreds of dollars out of pocket for a rental and still paying NY payments on top of this all. Something needs to be done to help people like me who are inconvenienced in these situations. I own my own business and drive 150+ miles a day I need a car and no one cares. I'm so furious and upset its not funny.
