2005, Dodge Magnum rt, 3800 miles. Struck tire tread debris on roadway. Broke vehicle fuel line adjacent to exhaust system. Vehicle immediately disabled due to engine stoppage. Raw fuel spilled on ground. No fire. Fuel system is primarily metal with exception of plastic connector at rear where fuel tank joins system. Connection needs deflector or guard of some sort if not total redesigned to avoid failure with fuel leak and fire hazard.
