We own a 2006 Dodge Magnum, and the car shifter is stuck on park. The car also seems to vibrate while going over 50 mph. Don't think the "thump" noise is normal when there is a shift in gear in an automatic transmission.
Since the purchase of this vehicle in may 2007, it has repeatedly suffered from transmission shutter; a loud thumping shake of the car when shifting between 2nd and 3rd gears (automatic transmission) at medium-low speeds. I have taken to the dealer repeatedly but they are unable to confirm the problem.
