2008 Dodge Magnum. Consumer writes in regards to a notice received that states defective electrical ignition switch issues. The consumer stated just recently, she began experiencing problems that were described in the recall, she received in November 2014. The consumer stated she had to turn the key a few times, before the vehicle would start.
Tl- the contact owns a 2008 Dodge Magnum. The contact mentioned that the drivers side window controls did not function properly and upon turning the vehicle off and back on to reset the computer, the drivers side window went up and down. The contact also stated that while traveling approximately 10 mph to make a left turn into traffic, the contact indicated that the vehicle stalled and rolled forward. The contact stated that she was able to coast the vehicle over and restarted the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the authorized dealer who replaced the ignition switch and provided the contact with two sets of keys. The contact indicated that the vehicle was repaired by the dealer and the symptoms may intermittently occur. The approximate failure mileage was 63,800. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. Dyd.
The contact owns a 2008 Dodge Magnum. The contact stated that the ignition key was difficult to turn in the ignition switch. The failure recurred on multiple occasions. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 14v567000 (electrical system); however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000.
The contact owns a 2008 Dodge Magnum. The contact stated while driving approximately 55 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle restarted and resumed as normal. The vehicle was taken to a dealer on two separate occasions where the ignition switch was replaced each time. The manufacturer was not notified of the issue.
