Four problems related to front seat recliner have been reported for the 1996 Dodge Neon. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Vehicle was involved in a stand still accident approx. 35-45 mph, causing consumer's back rest to collapse. Dealer notified.
Failure on the driver side seat back, consumer was involved in a rear-end collision and the driver side seat collapsed. Driver wa sleft in a recline dposition and sustained a neck injury.
No safety lock for seat back, causing injury when seat back fell forward.
Seat back latch does not lock into position due to design flaw.
