Three problems related to air conditioner have been reported for the 1997 Dodge Neon. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Evaporator coil, expansion valve & hoses replaced; freon added x4; ac still fails; has failed 4 times since August, 1999. Does not blow cold air.
The vehicle overheated when the air conditioning was on a engine at idle. Heater was turned on to cool vehicle.
A/c makes noise as soon as it is turned on.
