One problem related to hydraulic power assist steering system has been reported for the 1998 Dodge Neon. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The power steering pump does not have a cover over it, in rainy weather the water goes under and the belt slips off causing loss of power steering (lock up) which caused loss of control and vehicle to run into median with injuries to consumer.
