One problem related to tank filler pipe and cap has been reported for the 1998 Dodge Neon. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The pipe that comes down from the filler into the tank rusted. This caused fuel to leak very heavily at times. Fuel pump has had to be replaced twice already. The local junkyard imformed the consumer that the filler pipe is a common problem, they sell them as fast as they get them.
