The contact owns a 2004 Dodge Neon sxt. The contact stated while driving approximately 65 mph, and dodging a fallen mattress from another vehicle, she swerved and then crashed into the rear of another vehicle. Upon impact, none of the air bags deployed. The driver sustained minor injuries from the seat belt, the driver of the other vehicle was injured and transported to the hospital via ambulance. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic and was pending an investigation. The failure and current miles were approximately 97,000.
- the contact stated that while driving his 2004 Dodge Neon down hill at a speed of 40 mph, he tried to apply the breaks and the brakes seized, rear ending another vehicle. The contact stated that the hood of the vehicle was crushed, as well as, the engine falling out of the vehicle. At the time of the incident contact stated that his head struck the steering wheel and the air bags didn't deploy. The failure mileage was 38504. I fish tailed at approximately 65 - 70 mph when the left side of car went straight toward median, the vehicle impact was at 55-60 mph on the front driver side, allowing the car to be airborne. The car rolled several times, until it stopped on the driver side facing down. Air bags both front and both side never deployed.
My car, a 1998 Plymouth Neon, was recently in an accident. . . . The car was totaled with major front end damage. . However neither of the two air bags deployed despite the impact. I would like this investigated.
