On July 20th, 2001 my husband went to buckle my sons carseat in and the seatbelt pulled out of the seat, all three seatbelts pulled out of the seat very easily, we contacted Dodge and they refused to fix it and said it was an insurance problem- I have argued that the seatbelts were never bolted to the frame but my requests have all been refused.
Both rear retractors will not lock properly when brakes are applied in an emergency situation. Dealer was notified, and unwilling to assist because vehicle was not covered under a manufacturer's recall. Consumer needs seat belts that lock due to needing child safety seat belted in securely.

Rear belt loses tension when you install a baby carseat after pulling the shoulder belt in order to create tension on the lapbelt to hold the carseat tight. What happens is that there is a plastic piece that goes in the buckle connector, and when you apply pressure it breaks appart, giving no tension to the belt and the car seat can easily move forward.
