The contact owns a 2004 Dodge Neon srt4. The contact was involved in a collision on October 9, 2005 and the passenger's seat came off of the rail. There was no one sitting in the passenger's seat at the time of the accident. There were no problems prior to this accident. The dealership told him that there was no safety recalls on the vehicle for the seats ,and personally he had never heard of anything like this happening. The seats in this vehicle were factory seats they have not been replaced.

2 Front Seat Recliner problem of the 2001 Dodge Neon

Failure Date: 04/07/2005

1. Under normal driving conditions 2. The passenger seat back mounting bracket broke a weld. Thus making the passenger seat useless, and dangerous to any backseat passengers. 3. Took to the dealership, they told me that the part would not be covered under any waranty(car is at 45,000 miles) and that I should go to a "private repair shop" and have it welded back, or I would have to buy a new seat for >$500.

Vehicle was rearended. Upon impact, driver's seatback collapsed, resulting in minor injuries. Vehicle was totalled.

Failure Date: 08/16/1999

Another vehicle crossed the yellow line and hit consumer's vehicle head-on, causing the driver's side seat to fall back due to the latch breaking. Seat came down on the child, and the child ended up in the back of the truck. Vehicle was pushed 30 feet back, and the child was in the center.

While driving at 65mph another vehicle rear ended owner's vehicle, causing both front seatbacks to collapse. Dealer has not seen vehicle.

Failure on the driver side seat back, consumer was involved in a rear-end collision and the driver side seat collapsed. Driver wa sleft in a recline dposition and sustained a neck injury.
