Electronic Stability Control problem #1

Air bag on key ingredients lights on the dashboard keep come on and I got a letter said my truck on recalled.

Electronic Stability Control problem #2

In the past two years I've had to disconnect battery several times because wipers would continuously turn on and lights on and not shut off. Air conditioner stopped working out of no where after it had been professionally refilled just a year ago. Since I purchase the vehicle from a used car dealer 3 years ago, the power train feels like it pulls on take off also makes an airplane like noise and after picking up certain speed it then drives normal. Once in a while on acceleration it feels like it loose speed or stalls. Engine light went on with code p0507 which can be any issue pertaining to higher fuel pressure. I just replaced battery last month and decided to put a more powerful one to see if maybe issues would resolved but it did not help. About 2 days ago I got the air bag light turn on. When I purchase vehicle there was a recall for the drive shaft heat shield. I took vehicle to dealer to resolve recall and at the same time I mentioned concerning how the vehicle felt and the hissing sound like an airplane taking off when first accelerating. Dodge dealer advised stated that there was a computer (pcm) update that includes some of the issues mentioned but I would have to pay. I found it funny that I would have to pay for something that they claim resolves known issues but I went ahead and paid for it specifically since in the state of florida there is no lemon law when purchasing a used vehicle is purchased as is and I'll go ahead and to mentioned the loan which did not allow me to bargain because they claim to have to used book value. Too bad for Dodge not taking responsibility because the car has good power when its in working condition and it is a good looking car plus roomy for a small SUV; however, a dealer that does not take responsibility for there fault is one to stay away from.

Electronic Stability Control problem #3

Driving down the highway and power goes out. No air, no radio, engine will not start.

Electronic Stability Control problem #4

My vehicle brake lightm, abs light, retraction lightm, and esp light remains on, when the car is in motion, its affects the alecelaration and the stability of the vehicle, result of an diagnoistic test, I was told that the vehical maybe recalled.

Electronic Stability Control problem #5

All the electrical componer is not working in the dash all the light is on say is not bus.

Electronic Stability Control problem #6

Takata recall - the Nitro was in motion when the airbag light came on and when the white plastic strip came sticking out of my steering wheel column. Before the white plastic strip came sticking out behind the steering wheel, it sounded like something was rubbing or grinding every time I would turn the steering wheel. The ebs/bas light and the slippery when wet light also came on. Now the Nitro was stationary when it won't start and it will click one time along with the dash board lights coming on and the windshield wipers will turn on automatically. Could this be an electrical problem or something to do with the airbag?.

Electronic Stability Control problem #7

While driving vehicle overheats, but not while stationary, multiple dash/engine/lights flash on and off. Air conditioner started blowing hot air, had serviced- battery good-reported bad alternator -- replaced $289. Fan locked up breaking belt--replaced $30. Then mod #2 tested bad-- replaced $450. This all started approx. 2 weeks ago mid July 2016, and 2007 Dodge Nitro continues to overheat, and air conditioner continues to blow hot air. A/c coolant tested fine, but not making cold air into cabin of SUV. Mostly highway driving.

Electronic Stability Control problem #8

We have been having issues with our door locks along with electrical problems that occur while the vehicle is running. We took it to Dodge dealership and paid $150 to get it diagnosed. We were told the tipm module is not properly working. The cost would be $965. 90, when doing research I have found that many Dodge Nitro owners have been having this same issue if not worse than what we are having. This is the main command center for all electrical functions that when not properly working is an extreme danger to the passengers. I contacted Dodge and they said there is nothing they can do to help us. So you make a part in a car that is extremely unsafe to its passengers and you can't do anything to help me? with this module being out you would be better off riding a bike to work than driving in this vehicle!.

Electronic Stability Control problem #9

Vehicle rolled over and air bags did not deploy and ignition system was not woring took into dealership multiple times for ignition problems they replaced the ignition switch little less then a. Year ago.

Electronic Stability Control problem #10

The car with lock and unlock doors by itself and flash lights on and off, causing the vehicle to be inoperable when this happens during driving and when parking. We were already told the controlmodule needs replacing but because this is not a 4x4 it is not covered in the recall. Then the brakes stop but not fully and will cause a slide backwards if not held down while in motion, on an incline, on street or ramp. The throttle light and the antilock brake light comes on while driving, while turning, on streetand highway, causing the car to stall in traffic, while moving we have almost been rear eneded a couple of times. We see several recalls that would relate to our problem but all have been identified for the 4x4.

Electronic Stability Control problem #11

For over the last year my car has been locking and unlocking on its own . My horn had been sounding off even while im driving without me utilizing the horn and even when im at home without the alarm on. I also have had repaet issue with the headlight and taillights because the wires keep burning out .

Electronic Stability Control problem #12

While driving on asphault and dip, slope, and curve, the vehicle wanted to stalled and looses power. Brake light for entire ride. This power lost is consistance when going over railroad track or slope and dip motions. It been like this with power and stability since it was purchase new from the dealer. I'm the owner. The suspension system is the worst, it feel like you going to roll-over when there's a dip on the roadway.

Electronic Stability Control problem #13

Since March 2014. The horn has gone off by itself (3), the truck has died while driving at a speed of 30 mph (1), truck has failed to start (1).

Electronic Stability Control problem #14

The widow control panel on driver side the two front button broke off. Have to replace the whole arm control panel.

Electronic Stability Control problem #15

2007 Dodge Nitro on two occasions as I was pulling onto a highway the esc system actived when the rear wheels spun on ice ,cutting power and leaving me part way on raod in line of oncoming traffic with no accelerator responce. Then when I had accel. Depressed full power came on. Which almost caused a accident with a vehicle on other lane of road.

Electronic Stability Control problem #16

When driving the vehicle through a left hand turn, does not matter what speed you are driving the esp/tcs indicator light comes on the dash and the anti-lock brake system engages causing loss of power and sometimes steering until you are thru the turn. I went to the dealership, they said they took the vehicle for a test drive and nothing happened. They also informed me that since "no code" showed up on the computer that there was nothing they could do about the problem. What can I do as a consumer to get this problem rectified. My vehicle has a 36,000mile warranty and I have 35,000 miles to date on the vehicle. I feel the dealership should take a little more responsibility towards my situation but they do not want to be bothered. What course of action does a consumer have under these conditions?.

Electronic Stability Control problem #17

Back break lights go out continuously. I have had them replaced several times while under warranty. Lights are still going out but now my extended warranty is over. Dealership said they would have to run a diagnostic test before they could find out what is wrong. This is very concerning because it is a documented problem since the first year I purchased the car in 2007 and the problem still exists. My rear windows stopped working, had to have them replaced which I found odd because I hardly used the back windows. Driver's side handle has snapped in half. This makes for a safety issue because I cannot get out of the car without rolling down the window and then unlocking myself then roll up the window before turning off my car. Also, the power window control has snapped off as well for controlling the front passenger window. I'm concerned I will be trapped in my vehicle if I continue to lose power functions to the car. Heating unit works sporadically. Took it to local mechanic he fixed it. It worked temporarily and then stopped. Called dealership and once again was told that they would have to perform a diagnostic test; which is understandable if this was the only problem, but unfortunately this is not.
