Brake Light problems of the 2007 Dodge Nitro

Three problems related to brake light have been reported for the 2007 Dodge Nitro. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Brake Light problem

Failure Date: 12/17/2013

(1) the brake light on top of my tail gate is out. The cost of this light is $79. 50. The cost of the other 2 side brake lights is $2. 50 each. I will go to jail for having a light out before I pay $80. For this 3rd light. What do I do? (2) the front amber marker lights have gone out. These lights are only $2. 50 each but it will cost me $95 to change one of them because the front of the car has to come off to change it. This should be illegal. What do I do? (3) the door mounted rear view mirrors are too big and mounted too high. The mirror along with the windshield post creates a huge blind spot when looking for traffic coming from the right or when turning to the left. At least once a month I almost pull out into a car in that blind spot. Very dangerous and poor engineering. What do I do?.

2 Brake Light problem

The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Nitro. The contact stated that both rear brake lights malfunctioned. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed that the bake light assembly had overheated causing the wiring to melt. The light assembly needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 87,107.
