I was driving down the rd and all of the sudden my truck jumps into 2nd gear and looses all power to speed up and it seems like I'm in neutral my relay box is messing up everything electrical now it shuts off at stop signs and if it keeps doing all this I'll have to replace transmission. I've already replace tipm 2 times.

On 5/24/2019 jones junction t/a jones Chrysler Jeep Dodge diagnosed my 2009 Dodge Nitro with a failing front drive shaft (the assembly from the transfer case to the differential joint) and recommended immediate replacement. I was told not to drive the vehicle because there was a safety concern that the joint inside the boot could completely fail and the solid metal shaft would drop and snag the road. The part (#52853363af) has been on backorder with Dodge Chrysler since late may. First delivery date quoted was 6/7/19, then 6/20/19, and now 7/7/19. I have no answers to when this issue will be resolved and when the vehicle will be safe to drive again.

When I start my truck it do not start right away. I have to try at least 3 times. When I put my truck in reverse the car stalls an then I have to appl the gas hard an it jerks an doesn't move. I have to put the car in drive the try to reverse again. There's also a loud rubbing noise while in reverse. There's also a electrical problem the radio goes in an out. There is black padding around my car battery to keep the wires from touching. I complained to the dealer several times. The heat was not working. They took the truck and made the repairs. The only thing that was fixed was the heat. I am still dealing with the other issues. I have three children. Two of them have disabilities. Autism and adhd. This situation is very stressful. When I purchased this leased SUV I had all these problems an I still have them.

Lower track bar rear is a box tube with welded eyelet at each end . They rust and break and can fall down to road surface which could case accidents.

A few years ago I had to replace the air conditioning unit. Last year I had to replace the rack and pinion. This year I've had to replace the alternator and the check engine light is on. I currently have around 165k miles on the truck. The check engine light stays on, now they have to do the smoke test and I'm afraid of the outcome/costs. :( I also have smaller broken things, the glove box hinge broke, the tire sensor has had to be replaced at least 3 times since I had the truck. Also, there's a clicking sound in the steering column. Along with the lighting is out where the drive/reverse/etc indicator is (it's where I shift). I'm 55 years old and not hard on the car, constant oil change/tuneup and all maint things are up to date. I can't believe it is now falling apart. I've never had to replace an ac or rack and pinion on any vehicle I've ever owned. I'm besides myself having to pay out all this money for a vehicle thats only 8 years old. What was once sugar is now shit (excuse my language). I will never buy another Dodge again.
After having a vibration in the under carriage of my Dodge Nitro; I then carried it to a Dodge dealership and was told that it needed an induction service. I being totally displeased with the recommendation; I decided to seek some assistance at a local garage and an investigation was done of the vehicle. As a result of the mechanic doing a few test and driving the vehicle; it was said that the vehicle had a chattering feeling coming from the drive train {automatic transmission}. The mechanic also did a google search to find that a lot of other vehicles are having the same problem!!! it was also recorded that there's some issues with the electronics and a few other parts; yet Dodge is sitting back making money off the consumers for these known defects in their vehicles. Why??? also is it just the manner of business now to build vehicle to breakdown on an annual basis??? see nbc nightline news investigation on Dodge dealerships!!! please research!!! thank you a concerned consumer seeking assistance. Would this be a good time to start a world wide class action lawsuit??? please reply as I seek legal counsel.
Right front suspension failure caused loss of vehicle control.
Dodge Nitro r/t package (sport suspension and 20 inch tire/rim). Poor highway handling on bumps at bridge and road joint if speeds are greater than 60mph; you will notice loss of grip and may result in roll-over or crash. Handling is worst when its slippery or wet conditions. I slow down on all bridges in georgia and ohio. I notice this issue when drive in 2008-2009 putting 7500 mi per year.
