One problem related to tire has been reported for the 1996 Dodge Ram 1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Traveling on hwy 44 west @ 60 ml. Oer hr. Steel belt busted and tread ripped of taking my wheel well cover with it. I almost lost total control of my truck and it felt like I was driving on my rim. Took tire to a center. They measured the tread and investigated. The attendant said the tire is an absolute defect.
