One problem related to steering gear box has been reported for the 2000 Dodge Ram 1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Consumer makes a left turn at any given speed tires rub against shock brackets which causes a noise. Dealership has replaced spindle twice and steering gear box. Wants to put a 2mm shim on the back of tire. The 2mm shims were installed but the tire on left side was still rubbing.
