Carrier/rack problems of the 2002 Dodge Ram 1500

Hello, I have had a problem with my Dodge ram the fuel line system just cracked and caused my vehicle to catch fire and blow up while myself in my 7 year old granddaughter was in the vehicle my vehicle has been maintained since day one when I bought it brand new never having problems with it other than your will wells were never drilled out to drain the water in the back I would like to know if you have had other issues with this vehicle on the same incident. Myself in my granddaughter inhale very toxic fumes before we were able to get out the truck as it was on fire and inches away when it exploded. Pics and report wont download thank you.

The dash is cracking and pieces fall down into the vent then when I turn on heat or air pieces come flying out hitting myself or passingers in eyes and face.

My dashboard has hole in it. Its been cracking for a while and really didn't pay att.

Dash board started cracking and now is completely destroyed, parts of broken dash are falling into vents and obstructing blower motor. Dash will need to be replaced, no way to fix extensive damage. The damage gets worse every time I use the vehicle, damage has been ongoing for the past 12 months.

Dashboard cracking and falling apart is hazardous when you cut air or defrost on debris and sharp objects fly in your eyes.

The entire dashboard has cracked in multiple places. This issue started in 2004 and has continued despite multiple attempts at finding a cause or a viable solution to stop the cracking. Noticed others have made the same complaint. Dodge did not attempt to fix or give a solution to fix the cracking. It now interferes with the air flow and causes windshield flow to be directed away from removing internal "fogging". Now the blower will only operate at the highest speed.

Dashboard cracked, lamp light is on and alarm keeps dinging. Checked all lights and they are all working.

The dashboard on my 2002 Dodge ram is literally disintegrating before my eyes. It has multiple cracks all over it. The vent cover under the windshield has also broken, and the small pieces that cover the defroster holes have broken and fallen down into the defroster so that when it is turned on high small pieces of plastic will fly up and hit you in the face. It's ridiculous that you have to put on safety glasses if you are going to run the defroster so that you don't risk having plastic pieces strike you in the eyes. Several of the dashboard cracks run completely from the front to the rear of the upper dashboard. This is a well known problem to Dodge, and I am baffled that this safety issue of failing dashboards is not being addressed and corrected. This has to be corrected and I feel Dodge should be held responsible and be made to fix this defect!.

The dash has cracked in about 12 places.

Dash panel caving in and cracking all over. Parts of the dash have broken off and fallen inside the console creating a possibly dangerous scenario of damaged wiring or debris flying off while traveling down the road.

The dash has cracked on is falling apart into pieces. These pieces are falling into the dash and defroster vent. If the passenger air bag deploys it will send plastic into the air.

Vehicle has severe dash cracking. Power windows are not working and lamp indicator will not shut off causing ongoing beeping. Concerned that dash parts are stuck inside causing driving conditions to be unsafe. Would like to be notified if an investigation has been done to remedy the problems at dealer cost.

My 2002 Dodge 1500 pickup dash has cracked. It interferes with the front windshield defrost because of the cracked vents.

Dashboard on my 2002 Dodge ram is completely cracked and is falling apart. There are several jagged edges which are a safety risk that could cause severe injury if vehicle was involved in an accident. Dodge will not replace or fix the problem. Something needs to be done about this issue as it is a defect with their material within their vehicles.

Dash is cracked big pieces broken and falling in messed up air box so that air and heat don't come out hot or cold sharp pieces could fly in to your face.

I had just had the motor rebuilt, at the dealer, and when I stopped at a red light, on the way home I heard a cracking noise, and noticed the dash had a split near the passenger air bag. Since then the dash part next to the windshield, has had multiple cracks, and totally fallen apart.

Dashboard cracking - vehicle is always covered or garaged or under a covered parking spot. Dash started cracking around may 2010 while living in oklahoma and has gotten progressively worse. Pieces have broken and fallen into the vents, and when the defrost is turned on or when the ac is turned on, small to medium pieces fly out and can hit someone, myself or front seat passenger in the eye. And if involved in an accident where air bags are deployed, pieces could break off and do more injury to occupants. I have been hit in the forehead with pieces already.

The dash cover that is closest to the windshield cracked causing pieces of plastic to brake off and enter the blower motor. There was also pieces of plastic from the dash that fell off and and made it to the floor board and could have blocked the break or gas pedal.

The dash and dash components are cracking and or breaking causing sharp edges and flaying debris. I have resorted to using gorilla glue and a dash mat to minimize these issues but it has gotten so bad that this is no longer sufficient. I have taken the truck to a dealer and I have had them inspect this issue. Please see attached.

My 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 which I bought new has the dash cracking all over.

I have a 2002 Dodge pickup with a cracked dash. I had to replace the heater core and when the dash was removed I noticed cracks all in the dash. While removing the dash I and my helper both sustained severe cuts from very sharp edges of the broken dash. This prompted me to file this complaint because of the nature and shape of the cracks can cause severe injury or even death to occupants,especially children,in the event of a crash as well as cuts and abrasions when simply entering and exiting the vehicle.

I purchased this vehichle in June of 2008 and noticed a minor crack on the dashboard and didn't think much of it, since then the both pieces of the dashboard have severely cracked and I am concerned that if I get in a crash and the airbags deploy that shards of the broken plastic dashboard will become projectiles and cause serious injury.

2002 Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab sport 4x2 1. Gas peddle has to be press down at all time in order for truck to stay on once I let go of gas peddle truck stalls. 2. First day I bought truck from deal I ask is this faint sound coming fom transmission, I was told Dodge dealer thats a sound that trasmission makes, I said really. 3. Interior top dsah so thin sun is able to crack dash by it self with the hot heat and sharp plastic and its now dangerous its become a hazad toall occupants or pedestrians passegers. 4. The whole back tail light found hanging tried to hook it back up its made of plastic components crack with noway of hooking it with nuts so for now I type it in place, its truly falls under a recall. 5. Ac works but no heater. 6. Mirror cover on passenger side has fallen off on freeway. 7. All engine components seem to brake to fast due to being made of plastic clips wires not stable to hold on to devices, hoses fall off, crack into devices which cause veichal problems and isusses that affect mulitiple hazards to truck speed control, suspension, steering,fuel/propulsion,lighting,powertrain, brakes,engine,electrical,elec, /stability,air bags, body, wheels,seats,seat belts,visibility/wipers, in general all aspects has some kind of hazardous componets that need mandatory recalls.

Dash board cracking all over. . . Shed kept. . . Help!.

(1) no events that led to cracked dashboard. (2) dashboard has developed numerous cracks and small pieces from vents have started to fall. (3) brought to the attention of Dodge dealership during routine maintenance, service personnel said that there was nothing they could do, because truck was out of warranty.

Dashboard started cracking - dealer said out of warranty - cracking has continued. This vehicle has 44000 miles on the odometer and is in beautiful condition except for the awful dashboard problem. If I ever have a bad accident the dashboard will come apart and cause added injuries to the driver and passengers. It is time for ram to step up and give some help to all its customers with this problem. I have seen various pictures showing the dashboards completely collapsed. This is clearly beyond a cosmetic issue and into a safety issue.

Dashboard has been cracking since 2006, now dashboard has completley crumbled apart. Totally unsafe hazordous situation now.
