The contact owned a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500. The contact stated that while making a right turn into oncoming traffic, the vehicle rear-ended a semi-truck in front, where it came to a stop. No warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that the air bags failed to deploy during the collision. Additionally, the seat belts became inoperable and failed to restrain the contact, causing the contact to strike the windshield. The contact sustained a 2-inch cut that required 15 stitches, an eyelid injury that required 7 stitches, multiple bruises, and whiplash injuries, and was transported to a local emergency room for medical treatment. A police report was filed. The vehicle was destroyed. The dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 200,000. The VIN was not available.

2 Seat Belt problem

Failure Date: 03/07/2020

Drivers seat seat belt is lose and will not retract. If put the brakes on hard the seatbelt will not lock. I bought the truck like this about six months ago.

3 Seat Belt problem

While seat belts are buckled seat belt warning light does not turn off while stationary and moving.

4 Seat Belt problem

Failure Date: 08/14/2017

Drivers seat belt does not lock or restrain during heavy breaking, also does not retract when pulled out for usage. Danger of injury from air bag deployment if involved in frontal crash.

5 Seat Belt problem
