Tl the contact owns a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500. While driving, the strap that held the fuel tank fractured. As a result, another motorist informed the contact that the fuel tank was dragging on the ground, leaking, and damaged. Zeigler Chrysler Dodge Jeep of downers grove (2311 ogden Ave, downers grove, IL 60515, (630) 241-5500) stated that there was no recall on the vehicle. The dealer quoted a repair cost of over $1,000. The contact stated that an independent mechanic would repair the vehicle. The manufacturer was contacted and ordered a fuel tank on back order. The failure mileage was 222,000.
