Seat Belt problem #1

My wife , son and daughter were in the vehicle when they were struck in the front at about 40 mph. The seat belt did not hold, it released and the air bag did not deploy.

Seat Belt problem #2

Seat belt would not unbuckle when we stopped the truck wiggled out before it tightened up and now it is permanently buckled this is a safety issue if someone is in an accident and can't unbuckle it something needs to be done before someone gets hurt or dies I have see many other complaints on this.

Seat Belt problem #3

Set belt just quit unlatching very u safe.

Seat Belt problem #4

The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500. The contact stated that the front passenger seat belt was defective. The seat belt independently tightened and the passenger was unable to release the seat belt clip. The seat belt had to be cut to be able to release the passenger. The passenger suffered bruises to the stomach, neck, and shoulders, which required medical attention. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was not available.

Seat Belt problem #5

Driver's seatbelt was properly buckled and would not release when arrived at home. After attempting to free the buckle and sitting in the truck for nearly an hour, my family member finally arrived home and had to cut the belt to release me. Thank god this incident did not involve a collision or fire. Reported the issue to Chrysler customer assistance on the same evening via email. Still working to resolve the matter, nearly a month later. Seatbelt remains stuck in buckle and unable to be released. I refuse to pay $516 to have this repaired. This is apparently a faulty design; and I'm not the only one complaining about the 07 Ram 1500 seatbelts. My truck is still immaculate in condition and very well maintained. It is driven 100 highway miles per day to work; hence the high mileage. Not one problem with this truck until now. I'm very disappointed in Dodge (Chrysler) and the dealer in leaving this matter unresolved. No seatbelt should ever fail. . . . .

Seat Belt problem #6

I contacted Chrysler 3 times and no one wanted to address this problem, this was not caused by an accident ,theres no frame or external damages caused to the vehicle , this shouldn't of happened , I was driving normal and the airbags shot out of nowhere bruising my arm and around my collar. I driving the car the way it is with no horn , seatbelts locked, and bags exposed. I have no way of getting to work so im forced to drive like this , I need this to be adressed because this is putting me and who ever sits in my car in danger because Chrysler does not want to take action ,I shouldn't have to pay for this if this is somethimg that comes defective from factory.

Seat Belt problem #7

The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500. The contact stated that the driver's seat belt failed to buckle. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 180,000.

Seat Belt problem #8

The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500. The front driver and passenger side seat belts failed to latch. On many occasions, the seat belts inadvertently unfastened from the buckle when the vehicle was involved in a jarring event. The contact mentioned that the passengers would have to ride in the rear seats in order to be properly secured in the vehicle. The dealer stated that the seat belts needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 82,000. . . Updated 10/21/14 updated 10/21/14.

Seat Belt problem #9

Both of my trucks wheel well are rusting out. Its a 2007 they should not be rusting out from the inside out. Plus the passenger seat belt will not retract. .

Seat Belt problem #10

The front driver's side seat belt retractor jams and does not keep the upper section of the seat belt tight against the driver's chest. When moving around during normal driving this causes multiple inches of slack to develop and the driver needs to manually pull out on the seat belt and feed it back to remove the slack. The upper mounting loop and the seatbelt itself are clean and not damaged.

Seat Belt problem #11

Drivers side seat belt latch locked and could not be released. Chrysler said there were no problems with the seat belt latches in the Ram 1500 2007 model but apparently I am not the first.

Seat Belt problem #12

2007 Ram 1500 driver's sea belt buckle will not accept the buckle. I must drive without a belt until the latch is replaced.

Seat Belt problem #13

2007 Dodge Ram 1500 laramie - passenger side seat belt release mechanism failed - belt remained locked across chest and lap. Red push button release depressed, failed to unlatch seat belt. Passenger unable to release belt from fastener. Belt became tighter and tighter, to the point of crushing pain. Cut belt to release passenger. Thank god not in an accident or imminent danger somewhere, unable to release belt to escape.
