3 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 10/03/2018

Steering tie inner and outter rods, stabilizing bar and ball joints, recalled on exact same model but year 2008. Would not cover, cost us 1800. 00 to repair last year. Today, gas tank strap rusted and gas tank dropped out, again recalled for same make and model 2008 to present, ours is 2007. Cost to repair 354. 90 plus $75 tow. I can provide bills if necessary. Dodge should pay for these obvious manufacturing errors. Below is most recent of these recalls that miss our's by 1 year. A fire marshall happened to notice gas tank hanging minutes before getting on freeway. First, happened as left house and could not steer truck. Just lucky neither were on a freeway.

4 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 05/24/2017

Engine will cut off during driving. Stalls. I replaced battery and no one knows why it cuts off and stalls this has happened multiple times. Sometimes if you disconnect the battery it may start. Lock and unlock the remote control. Or just sat and wait or have it towed home. Midway driving it will shut off the engine for no reason. Doesn't matter if the fuel is full or low.

Failure Date: 03/06/2015

We just turned onto my street and we heard a loud grumble and drag sound. Like brake or rear end lock up. . Sure enough we stopped turned truck off and looked the rear end was locked and my drive shaft was laying on the road. Thank the lord above it didn't happen when we was just on interstate. I'm disabled and it was cold and I had to sit in truck until help came, which we are 18 -20 miles from town. I go to doctor a lot and its my only transportation. The mechanic said the rear end locked and something flexed and drive shaft came out.

8 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 01/05/2015

Swinging keys in ignition shut truck off at 60mph, trouble steering and almost put it in reverse at speed while shifting to neutral to start engine- swerved and caused high speed skid.

9 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 11/28/2014

I live in wisconsin where we experience extreme temperature changes, and with winter temperatures often below zero, the occupants need to be warm to be safe. The safety of driver and families depends on the proper working order of heater in these conditions. The heater blender door is apparently stuck to the open position allowing fridge cold outside air to be blown into the cab in the foot area. After driving an hour to our destination the driver and the occupant in the front seat no longer can feel their feet because of being so cold. "how can proper acceleration and braking be applied when the operators feet are frozen?". This is a safety concern and a health hazard to occupants, with the potential to cause frost bite, because the cold air can't be diverted or shut off. After searching on-line this is a common problem in numerous models and years of Dodge vehicles. The average cost of the fix is 1000. 00 to 1500. 00 because the dash needs to be pulled out. I couldn't imagine how much this issue has generated in auto repairs, do to faulty equipment to the consumer. This is a recall issue and should be addressed as such. I even spoke to a person while waiting at the local dealership that complained about the same issue and was getting it fixed. This costly/ common repair, if not fixed can effect the safe operation of the operators gas and brake pedal in extremely cold weather. Judging by the comments on-line this should be a recall issue. Thanks.

10 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 05/29/2013

Almost every time I go to use my blinkers it doesn't switch the right blinker on. And sometimes the wipers and the blinkers don't work at all. I just bought this vehicle not to long ago and have no other means to get my children to child care and my self to work. I am afraid we are going to get into an accident. With all that is going on here and being a single mom of four. I am afraid I wont be able to afford to fix it. A loss for words. Please any sugestions.

11 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 12/30/2010

The blend door actuators that control where the heating or cooling is directed, or determining hot or cold, are faulty and fail at no particular time. This can cause no heat to defrost windows which ultimately will lead to vehicle accidents. The Dodge dealership I spoke to about the issue laughed at me and commented that they fix at least 2 trucks per week with this issue, costing approximately $1000. The part to fix the issue cost under $20 each, but the entire dash must be pulled out of the vehicle to perform the repairs. If you research this issue, like I have, you will see this issue has been happening since about 1996. I have filed a complaint before and I am going to continue to do so until someone holds Chrysler responsible for their actions. When the issue happened to me, I was driving in the sierra nevada mountains in a snow storm and could not see out the windshield, but my feet were real toasty. Not a lot of help when your windshield is covered in snow and ice. Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you.

12 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 06/01/2010

Adjustable pedals move side to side 2-3 inches making breaking unsafe by allowing foot to slip off of break onto the accelerator,.

13 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 01/01/2010

My pickup that is 14 years newer than another vehicle I own does not have heat on the floor. I choose feet on the selector and all the heat comes out of the defrost. I have researched this on the internet and found many other people and years of trucks with the same problem. When I talked to the dealership, they laughed and said that they fix at least one of those problems a week. Not to mention, at $1000 to fix it. But funny enough, the part only cost less than $20. The safety concern is that a person will not be able to defrost their windshield in the event that there parts fail at a time of need. I'm not going to give up on this issue, please think about the issue and consider a recall. Thank you.

14 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 06/19/2009

While driving at various speeds, the truck tries to engage 4wd lo. At low speeds it has engaged to 4wd lo. At higher speeds it has engaged 4wd lock and has shifted to neutral. Dealerships have replaced the actuator, said it was the tipm, and said it was an ac relay pressure switch. The problem still happens as of 12/24/14. Has been to 5 diff. Dodge dealerships. This is an intermittent problem and may not happen for 6 months. 4wd lo light flashes and serv 4wd light comes on. Different service codes come up when dealerships look at it. I have been the only owner of this truck.

15 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 04/18/2008

I bought my truck used it had 24000 on it. Before the warranty was out had in shop for tranny problem they said it was a sensor. They replaced the sensor. Not a month later took back for ac problem and tranny still was not right. They had to replace all of the ac components under dash it had collapsed, $1800 worth of parts. They could find anything on tranny. I have now had my truck a year. This month had to have front shocks replaced they leaked all oil out and front bearing replaced on passenger side. $1000 later front end is still making noise and rides rougher than before. The tranny is still giving problems. Now the rearend is also making whining noise. The truck has about 80,000 miles on it. I have never had this many problems out of a vehicle with less than 100,000 miles on it. I travel for a living so I have put many miles on many vehicles. I notice the 06 models having recalls for bearings and brake system but nothing for 07. Didn't know if maybe my truck was made in the earlier part of the year so it might possibly have the same defective parts.
