Two problems related to other fuel system tank filling/charging have been reported for the 2007 Dodge Ram 1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
When filling gas tank, gas shoots out the top when full. Happens at every gas station. Recently took vehicle to dealership for this issue and a gascap warning light and service engine light. Service advisor at dealership said the fuel inlet valve was leaking at a weld seam. Cost of repair is $1240. 00. When this occurs about a half gallon of gasoline spews onto the cement which at times in phoenix reaches 120 degrees. Plus. Not to mention this could get on me, in my eyes or someone else in the vicinity. This is a huge safety issue and needs to be addressed immediately. After researching this issue I have found that similar vehicles in similar years with the similar engine have had the same issue; such as the 2007 Dodge durango with the 4. 7l v-8 engine.
When I fill up my gas tank fuel always spits out after the pump shuts off. It does it at every filling station I have used. It is like the tank is burping.
