~tl the contact owns a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500. While driving at highway speeds, the front passenger tire completely fractured from the axle. A police report was filed. The driver sustained whiplash. The insurance company towed the vehicle to a yard and a dealer had not been notified yet to inspect and diagnose the cause of the failure as the manufacturer had indicated that they provided a case number and would provide a follow up response to investigate the cause of the front passenger side tire fracture. The vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 10e040000 (wheels) and was uncertain if the failure was related to the manufacturer recall number g02 front wheel bearings. The contact was waiting on a response from the manufacturer to provide the guidelines to repair the vehicle. The approximate failure mileage was not available. Dyd.
Wheel bearing assembly came apart while driving under normal conditions. While driving and turning a curve, tire and part of the wheel assembly broke off away from the vehicle.
I was just notified for a problem with my air bag. I had another recall about my gas filler tube, repaired by Dodge. I was not notified about any of the front suspension recalls or problems with the wheel bearing. This part failed about two years ago and I had it replaced but never received a recall. I still have the original wheel bearing part that was given me at replacement. What is going on? is my front end going to fail while my family is driving it? I only have 89,000 miles on my truck. I would like an answer.
