Involved in an accident 2/09/26. Air bag did not deploy. Fractured sternum as a result.
The shifter began changing gears on its own. Before the recall came out my mechanic checked and there was no recall for this until 2018. I was never notified of the recall. Then on rear axle pinion nut. The nuts were installed without the proper amount of adhesive. Consequently, the nuts can loosen, and cause the rear axle to lock up, causing a loss of vehicle control. I was never notified of and the rear end came down while on the freeway. The fuel tank began leaking I repaired this before the recall came out. I submitted a reimbursement request they denied me stating my car was over 7 years old.
I called the dealership to schedule my recall repair. They told me I did not have any active recalls on my vehicle. After an unpleasant back and forth I was finally able to get a manager or "advisor" on the phone. The advisor determined that I did in fact have an active recall. This error was extremely unprofessional, unacceptable and could have endangered my life and the lives of anyone in my vehicle as the safety risk of the recall is "the loss of air bag and seat belt pretensioner deployment capability during a crash may increase the risk of injury or death. " (NHTSA recall number17v-302). While this instance is the most egregious from a safety perspective, this is not the first time ourisman jcd of alexandra, va has been reckless or negligent with my vehicle and I would like to file a formal complaint. Errors like this could lead to myself or someone else getting seriously injured or worse.
The dealer says its a bad tipm, and that they go bad on ram trucks often. All the electrical system goes crazy, traction control, air bags, abs, blower for heat and air, wipers, door locks, windows and others. If they know this is faulty why not should they have to recall or pay us back.

Totally integrated power module (tipm) has been dangerous. All four windows went down while truck was unattended and locked several times. We replaced the expensive tipm and car stopped doing that. A few months later, we found out that just one electrical item can cause the entire tipm burn out that affects almost everything in the car. For us it was the backup camera that had a short. It caused air bags, seat belt safety, windshield wipers, defrost/fan, backup camera, locks not to work. Dealership had to replace tipm again. We also believe the tipm may have had something to do with our transmission locking into gear.

I mailed a complaint notice and you claim someone will get back with you in 2 business days---I'm still waiting for a response on # 10896888 and # 10896617. Our safety should be your utmost importance. How can we have our vehicles replaced if there are no parts, and if we choose to have this fixed ourselves, we are gouged in a bidding war and pay a premium price for the part. How do we know if our vehicle is actually being fixed or not? there needs to be an internal investigation. . . . . Gordon and janice smith 281-487-0684.

The clock spring broke and mechanic says it happens all the time on chryslers! of course Chrysler has never heard of it! was told at Chrysler dealership that they have never heard of a problem but it is all over the internet! vehicle is driven by woman with small baby, Chrysler doesn't care! not paid for but out of warranty! I understand Chrysler puts off reporting so they won't have to fix anything with 70000 miles or more! Chrysler is negligent, next vehicle will be a Ford! hope someone sues Chrysler and their obama union that they stole from the stockholders!.

The tipm (totally integrated power module) in the vehicle failed recently despite the vehicle being relatively "young" in age. The failure was random and occurred during the vehicle's normal use (casual driving). My understanding is that this device controls air bags and other safety devices. From what I read, this is not an isolated incident among vehicle owners.
For the past week, my 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 has had issues with the windshield wipers not working, the lights for the stability control are on as well as the lights for the air bag. In addition, the rear windows do not work. All of these could be extremely hazardous depending on the driving conditions. I have taken the vehicle to the dealer who told me it would cost roughly $1800 to repair/replace the tipm. I find this extremely disturbing considering I have had this vehicle in numerous times for other issues and they have messed with the wiring on a number of different occasions. I believe the NHTSA should immediately issue a recall for this vehicle and issue before someone gets hurt or injured or worse because of it.
An air bag is encased in the horn enclosure. I attempted to blow the horn and the airbag cover, which is part of the horn encolsure split. Hill kelly Dodge of pensacola, florida replaced the assembly. Approximately November, 2014, the cover again split when I attempted to blow the horn. Dealer tells me that an air bag is located in the horn enclosure and that tampering with the horn cover assembly could severely injure me if the air bag accidentally deploys. I have pictures to send to you.
