Seven problems related to other fuel system pump have been reported for the 2011 Dodge Ram 1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Just took my vehicle into the shop on 2/17/15 due to the battery being dead as a result of the fuel pump running all night. Aaa certified shop just informed me it would cost 1600. 00 to replace the tipm and program it for my key etc. There is a faulty fuel pump relay inside the tipm and I have to replace the enitire module. This issue is most likely related to the durango/Jeep recall for the exact same issue, as well described in the class action lawsuit. It is not covered by any warranty.
Truck will not start. Technician found an internal fault on the tipm module. Will need to be replaced. Currently, there is a fault of the tipm module, if the tipm module fails (loss of power to fuel pump), could lead to a crash/loss of life.
There is no power going to my fuel pump. The fuses are good . The only thing I can come up with is tipm not working.
Truck will not start, stalls out in traffic and fuel pump continues to run even after vehicle is turned off and key removed. Diagnosed as totally integrated power module. Dodge recalled the same part on the 2011 durango but not the ram pick up.
Totally integrated power module malfunction. Fuel pump constantly stays on, even when no key in truck, drains the battery.
The contact owns a 2011 Dodge Ram 1500. The contact stated that the vehicle stalled multiple times. The vehicle was towed to the dealer and the fuel pump module was repaired. A second repair was performed on the vapor canister, but the failure recurred. The dealer stated that the integrated power module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired and the manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage was 53,292.
