This tire split from bead coil to bead coil, in a perfectly straight line. I have contacted gy and their response was the old firestone two step. Not our problem. There was 5000 miles (about) on the tire at the time and most on this trip. Had 4 tire shop look at the tire on this trip trying to get a replacement. All the tiremen that seen the tire said they had never senn anything like this before. I have also found other on complaint sites that tell the same story. Tl * the contact owns a 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 equipped with goodyear wrangler tires, size p265/70r/17. The contact stated that while driving 5 mph on a gravel road, the front driver side tire became punctured by one of the rocks causing it to deflate. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The technician diagnosed that the failure occurred as a result of the tires not being rated as truck tires, which caused them to easily become punctured. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The tires were not replaced. Neither the VIN nor the dot number was available. The failure and current mileage was 4,800.
