Recall campaign 04v596000 concerning ball joint wear. Vehicle was making a clunking noise while driving over bumps, pot holes or uneven road surface. Vehicle was taken to a repair shop, and mechanic determined that both upper ball joints needed to be replaced. Manufacturer was contacted. Manufacturer informed the consumer that his vehicle probl was not covered under a recall.
