One problem related to manifold/header/muffler/tail pipe has been reported for the 1996 Dodge Ram 2500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The under part of the cargo area of the truck caught on fire due to the muffler catching fire, and there was also a hole in the gas tank. Dealer replaced muffler and fuel tank.
