Headlights problems of the 1999 Dodge Ram 2500

Two problems related to headlights have been reported for the 1999 Dodge Ram 2500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Headlights problem

Failure Date: 03/20/2006

: the contact stated while driving 40 mph the headlights failed due to a wire in the steering column. Additionally, the driver and passenger seatbelts failed. The dealership replaced the wiring in the steering column for the headlights, which remedied the problem. Although the manufacturer was alerted about the seatbelts, no appointment has been made for repairs.

2 Headlights problem

Failure Date: 09/13/2001

Headlights would intermittently go out while driving and/or when changing from low to high beam. Dealer notified, and was unwilling to assist because vehicle was not covered under a recall. Feel free to provide any further information.
