Three problems related to brake electric antilock have been reported for the 2000 Dodge Ram 2500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Brakes were applied at 10 mph, and abs pulsed once. Then, front of vehicle started to slide, and rearended another vehicle. Brake pedal felt normal. This happened once before, no incident. Dealer stated abs system was working as it should.
Consumer had a 2001 Dodge, 2500. It has asbestos brakes on the rear only, and there no warning labels anywhere in the truck, but theres a warning in the owners manual. Consumer states this problem can result in death if exposed to it.
Under moderate braking, system failed to provide adequate stopping power, abs would not engage even though the brake pedal was depressed to the floor. Incident happened while approaching a stop light, truck was not even carrying a load.
