Took vehicle into jacksons of enid, 4405 w owen garriott rd, enid, ok 73703 on 4/27/17 for safety recall related work on passenger air bag inflator and outer tie rod assembly. Air bag light was coming on sporadically and increasingly often. Work performed, if any, by jacksons of enid did not solve the problem. Air bag light came on within a mile of the business and continues at various speeds and for longer periods of time. Outer tie rod assembly??? can't tell. . What am I supposed to do? wait until the airbag inflates while I am driving, possibly injuring myself or others? or maybe lose a front wheel? this is not the only disturbing encounter that I have experienced at this business. Call me ((580) 984-1200). I do not trust jacksons of enid and they are the only game in town. Tried to contact bbb, but they are not bbb affiliated. Go figure.

I contacted Dodge dealer in April of 2015 to inspect tie rod end steering linkage. They informed me that they can not get the parts, it's going on a year now. I contacted Chrysler about this and they informed me that the dealership has the parts. How am I supposed to get this recall addressed?.

Dodge is refusing to cover recall notice n62/NHTSA 13v-528. I presented original receipts and documentation as requested since I already had to pay to repair the "tie rod ball stud". I received a phone call informing me that they would not cover the recall since I had the truck repaired with "after market parts". I do not agree with this. I should be compensated due to the recall. The parts failed and I replaced them last December. I then get notice that the parts were bad. Why would I put the same parts back on if they failed in the first place? I put "better" after market parts on . No where on the recall does it say that I am supposed to have used "mopar" parts. Please look in to this. I feel they are avoiding responsibilty.
2003 Dodge Ram 2500. Consumer writes in regards to left tie rod recall notice. The consumer stated after waiting several months and receiving several recall notices, the dealer was not able to obtain the parts to fix the problem. Recall # 13v528000.
I received a "important safety recall" stating that left tie rod ball stud may fracture under certain driving conditions causing a "loss of directional control and/or crash without warning". When I took it to the dealer they put me on a list and said it woul be approx. 32 to 64 weeks to get it repaired. They said they receive 1 part every 7-14 days and I am number 32 on the list. I do not think this is within a reasonable time considering that I drive the interstate every day and could "crash without warning" as stated in the recall. Which could cause serious injury or death not only to myself but others on the interstate.
Recall n62/NHTSA 13v-528 my vehicle was determined by dealer to have left tie rod replaced as per the recall. It's been over 3 weeks and dealer said could be as much as a month more before they get new part. I called Dodge assistence center 1-800-853-1403 and was told that could take awhile to get parts ???? this part can cause steering loss and is extremely unsafe. I need my truck to work each day. I am logging a complaint to this recall as unsatisfactory as far as time to issue new part to install. Thankyou very much david lyons.

Any bump or uneven surface at highway or roadway speed caused the steering to shudder uncontrollably. I have replaced the steering dampener and tie rod ends and it still continues. This has caused many close calls and caused me to veer into on coming traffic more than once. Thankfully no wrecks or injuries so far.
After purchasing this truck from the first time owner, I begin to notice at certain times I would experience a violent shaking when going over a bump. After looking online and reading about the "death wobble" I become worried and contacted the dealer. Of course they acted like they did not know what I was talking about. But when you talk to an independent mechanic, they know exactly what you are talking about. In short, I have spent over $2700 getting the front end redone, with no help from Chrysler. I find it completely irresponsible on their part to not do anything to help with this problem. Now. . Just last week I get this recall notice on the left tie rod end. I am most certain when I take it in, they will say there is nothing wrong with it. . And send me on my way. This issue and the cracked dash is all a bunch of baloney to which Chrysler should have taken some serious action to help folks who bought a $50k truck in good faith that it was built good. .

Front axle shaking violently. Shakes consistently going over bridges. Shook so hard one time it broke the adjusting sleeve on the drag link leaving me with no steering and vehicle crossed into the oncoming lane and into the grass coming to a stop just before hitting the guardrail. Since this incident the ball joints and tie rods have been replaced along with the steering stabilizer. The front axle has been aligned and everything is to oem specifications and this vehicle will still shake going over bridges if your running 70mph. From the research I've done it appears there is a problem on these Dodge trucks if they are 4x4 with a straight front axle and short wheel base. I have seen kits on the internet that claim to fix the "death wobble" and the geometry of the "fix" is different than oem. I hope that you will investigate this issue and I would be more than happy to take you for a ride in my vehicle or let anyone inspect it.

After purchasing my 03 Ram 2500 in June of 2010 I have had continuous problem with the front end shaking violently while driving at speed over 65mph and hitting the smallest bump in the road. I've brought it back to the dealer several times to just be told there is nothing wrong with the truck. They replaced the ball joints in Nov of 2010 after I insisted that something has to be wrong with the front end, but this didn't help. I replace the steering damper and tie rod ends and it didn't help. I ve looked at the forums online and found that I am not the only one with this problem. So what can I do with a truck I owe money on that I need to travel cause of my job but don't feel safe in it? who do I contact?.
Death wobble! this has happened to me to many times to count. I have had the front end of my 2003 Dodge ram cummins repaired twice. Both times I have had ball joints and tie rods replaced along with axle u joints and followed by alignment. I have also added a dual steering stabilizer system. That has helped a little bit, but it still happens often. The wobble has taken me off the road once at 60 miles per hour. Luckily, nobody was hurt. Please help if you can. Thank you justin hulse.

I was driving at freeway speed 75 mph when I hit a small washboard type bump, my 2003 Dodge 4x4 2500 diesel (with 39,000 miles) began swerving so violently I could hardly hang on to the wheel. We nearly ran off the road and just missed the semi next to us. It was so bad, my wife's head was hitting against the passenger window. We had to slam on the brakes & come to a speed of 30 mph to get it to stop. It seemed to drive fine until we could get it to the dealership in grand junction, who diagnosed it as a bad tie rod end. Replaced that,, and sent us on our way. We again began driving down the freeway, pulling a small cargo trailer when it happened again. This time it was so much worse while I tried to hang on to the wheel that I could hardly focus my eyes and again my wife's head smashing against the passenger window with this violent shaking. We took the truck to the Dodge dealership in st. George, ut where they reported there were several things they could do, but couldn't guaranty that it would fix the problem. Did comment that they were well aware of this problem with these trucks and the service team in slc, ut had named it "the death wobble". I questioned why there is not a recall if it is so common, but he had no answer. He stated most of the people who had this problem 'just got rid of the truck' in other words some other fool has it. This is going to kill someone if not remedied. As a matter of fact, my small wife would have never had the strength to hang on to that wheel & we would be dealing with a crash or death instead of this letter.
I had sears align tires on my Dodge. They described problems with ball joint, tie rod and bearing on my 2003 Dodge. Chrysler will not replace parts that are showing excessive wear on this 1. 5 year old truck as they did not diagnose problem before warranty expiration.
