Automatic Transmission Control Module problems of the 2004 Dodge Ram 2500

Two problems related to automatic transmission control module have been reported for the 2004 Dodge Ram 2500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem

Failure Date: 05/23/2005

Today stalled again while turning into intersection. Failure of power steering and brakes almost caused accident. 6th time in last 2 months. Dealer flashed computer 2x and replaced map sensor per damler Chrysler engineers. Still not fixed.

2 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem

Failure Date: 05/07/2005

Consumer states: all of a sudden vehicle died when making a turn in traffic , no lights came on, it just died. Dealer couldn't find anything wrong the first time 4/14/05 but then they called back had us come in, and they flashed the computer on 4/15/05, and then had us bring it back and flashed again on 4/25/05. Then it happened on 5/6/05 and 5/7/05 and damler-Chrysler had dealer change map sensor on 5/10/05.
