Fuel Pump problems of the 2004 Dodge Ram 2500

Two problems related to fuel pump have been reported for the 2004 Dodge Ram 2500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Fuel Pump problem

Failure Date: 12/09/2010

The contact owns a 2004 Dodge Ram 2500. The contact stated that while driving approximately 65 mph, the vehicle suddenly stalled when trying to exit the highway. The emissions warning light was illuminated on the instrumental panel after the stall. The vehicle was unable to restart and was towed to a dealer. The dealer inspected the vehicle and informed the contact that they would need to replace the circuit in the fuel pump. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was 38,000.

2 Fuel Pump problem

Failure Date: 08/03/2009

The contact owns a 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 quad st/slt. The contact stated that the front end of the vehicle shakes violently while driving approximately 70 mph. He took the vehicle to the dealer and they replaced the front stabilizer rod at the cost of $1,000. The failure recurred and the vehicle was taken back to the dealer. The dealer stated that the tires needed to be replaced. The failure mileage was 109,500 and current mileage was 109,900. Updated 10/06/09. The consumer stated the tires were worn out on the outside only. Even when the vehicle had an alignment and the tires rotated the problem still remained the same. The fuel pump module was replaced.
