The contact owns a 2004 Dodge Ram 2500. The contact stated that when the left turn signal was activated, the right turn signal activated instead. The failure occurred on three occasions. On one occasion, a crash was avoided due to the failure. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the wiring in the steering column needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired twice, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was not available. Updated 5/18/cn.
Steering column has clicking noise. Dodge said it needs to be replaced. The truck only has 47k miles. (already had to replace computer because truck would shut off while going down the highway). I'm concerned I will just lose steering. This truck has been nothing but trouble.
