Turn Signal problems of the 2004 Dodge Ram 2500

Seven problems related to turn signal have been reported for the 2004 Dodge Ram 2500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Turn Signal problem

Failure Date: 07/28/2018

While driving at night both headlights went out. Replaced bulbs headlights would not come back on. Was told that the front control module was bad. Replaced front control module with a new one. 13 months later now the horn will stop working a couple times a week a mouth very intermittent. Turn signals are intermittent also. Engine will not start all the time just cranks tell you cycle the key. Was told this is all related to another front control module going bad. New module is not under warranty anymore. I fill this is a safety issue . I have heard lots of complaints from other Dodge ram owners about the same issues.

2 Turn Signal problem

Failure Date: 07/12/2013

You can not turn on left turn signal without the right signal coming on too. To make a right turn you need to keep pressing on right turn signal to keep it blinking. I see many other owners with same problem. This is an accident waiting to happen!!!!!!!!!!.

3 Turn Signal problem

Failure Date: 05/31/2013

The contact owns a 2004 Dodge Ram 2500. The contact stated that only the passenger's side rear turn signal and high beam was operable. The contact spoke with the dealer and was advised that the headlight module may have needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and the current mileages were 60,000.

4 Turn Signal problem

Failure Date: 10/26/2011

On our 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 slt crew cab. The turn signal will sometimes intermittently do the exact opposite of the direction you choose and when this happens the headligts will not go bright if you have it on dim and the windshield wipers will not work as we found out shortly after we bought the truck on a rainy day. It apperars it is all controlled from one location on the steering wheel column.

5 Turn Signal problem

Failure Date: 10/01/2010

Turn signals are erratic. Signal left, right comes on. This is an intermittent problem that makes it worse. It is impossible to predict when it is going to malfunction and I have almost gotten into 3 accidents because of it. The left will function if the warning flashers are depressed.

6 Turn Signal problem

Failure Date: 02/22/2009

Turn signal malfunction. Signaling left will turn on right side. Signaling right will turn off.

7 Turn Signal problem

Failure Date: 02/14/2009

The contact owns a 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 quad st. (na) the contact stated both turn signals will not operate properly. When the left turn signal was turned on, the right signal will turn on instead. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was contacted and a claim was filed but the manufacturer offered no further assistance. The failure mileage was 160,000.
