One problem related to power door locks not working has been reported for the 2005 Dodge Ram 2500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Rear door wiring harness: wires break inside of rubber housing causing total window and door lock failure. The exposed wires could arc against each other and the metal resulting in a fire. If child locks are engaged or if the door is locked you are unable to unlock the door from the outside. This is a safety issue because it could result in the rear passengers becoming trapped in the vehicle in an emergency causing injury or death.
