The contact owns a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500. The contact stated that the driver side seat cushion was worn through and he ending up sitting on the iron steel bar. The vehicle was inspected by a dealer who informed the contact that he needed to replace the seat cover and the cushion underneath the seat. The vehicle had not been repaired. Seatback reclines or fails to stay upright under normal driving conditions. Modest accelerating from stop sign can cause seat back to drift backwards with a driver of average weight. Bouncing over potholes, gear shifts and driving up inclines have also caused the seat to fail.
