Wiring problems of the 2007 Dodge Ram 2500

Two problems related to wiring have been reported for the 2007 Dodge Ram 2500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Wiring problem

Failure Date: 12/01/2020

The passenger side rear window will not roll up when actuated from the driver's window control switch panel. It will roll down from the driver side switches but will not roll back up. The Dodge ram internet forums are full of people complaining about the rear door wiring harnesses failing on 3rd generation Dodge ram pickups.

2 Wiring problem

Failure Date: 02/01/2018

The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Ram 2500. The contact stated that due to a failure of the cooper wiring used in the four doors the doors the door locks would malfunction cauing the door to become unsecured. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer jones Ford wickenburg (555 e wickenburg way, wickenburg, az 85390, (844) 524-1981) where it was diagnosed that the wire harnesses needed to be repaired. In addition the contact stated that while driving at various speeds a popping noise was present coming from the front of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who replace upper and lower ball joints, wheel bearings were replaced and power steering gear box was replaced, pitman arm was replaced steering stabilizer brace installed. But the failure contined to occur. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 178,000.
